Till the Last Drop

Patience can be tiring at times, and equally hard to master. It was like any other ordinary morning but her thought were clogged with the monster she saw a night before. She was scared and terified but she did not let anyone read her face. How cruel can a monster be, how painful can a wound be, such questions she always thought when she was just sitting there sipping tea.

She couldnt help but let people be in pain. Now now, no need to judge, if she could extend her hand for help or her shoulder to be leaned on, she would, but she couldnt. So, she sat there that morning and watched people when suddenly she heard,” Im not feeling well.” She stood from her place and went to that person and asked what the matter was. “I cannot breathe, I cannot hear.” She took her by her arm and helped her walk to the person concerned.

When that person left, she sank into her thoughts again,”how difficult this time is for her,” her heart said to her. “How can a prey be tested by a predator till the last drop,” her brain argued,” look how calm the predator is sitting now,” said her mind. She tried to follow the chain reaction she studied once in her school science class and tried to figure out who can possibly victimize that predator.

Time cut short her thought and she heard the whistle which signified that she could no longer indulge into this activity and had to stand up, dust off her shirt and walk away, leaving the shadow of all those behind. The dawn was about to welcome her with open yet cold arms….
